Fritz.repeater is the web-based management interface for AVM FRITZ!Repeater devices used to configure Wi-Fi settings, change network passwords, modify SSID names, and adjust device configurations at http://fritz.repeater.
How to login to FRITZ!Repeater?
- Open a web browser and type http://fritz.repeater or http://192.168.178.2 in the address bar.
- Enter the device password and click Log In.
- You will be successfully logged into the FRITZ!Repeater management interface.
How to change FRITZ!Repeater Wi-Fi Network Name and Password?
- Log in to the FRITZ!Repeater user interface using the steps above.
- Go to Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Network from the menu.
- Enter your desired network name in the Name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) field.
- Enter your new password in the Network Key field.
- Click Apply to save your changes.
Troubleshooting Access Issues
If you cannot access fritz.repeater, try these solutions:
- Ensure your device is connected to the FRITZ!Repeater’s network.
- Try accessing 192.168.178.2 directly instead of fritz.repeater.
- Delete cookies and browsing data, then attempt login again.
- Turn off any VPN connections that might interfere with local network access.
- Test with Chrome, Firefox, or Edge if one browser fails.
- Verify the FRITZ!Repeater power LED is solid and not blinking.
